There are two separate services you'll need for a functioning site - a domain name and a hosting plan for it. If you type the domain address in your Internet browser, you see the content that’s uploaded in the hosting account, but if that domain address isn't linked to such an account or to an email service, it's parked. Put simply, the Internet domain is registered and you are its owner, but it lacks content of its own. As a substitute, it can open either a pre-made “Under Construction / For Sale” page from the registrar company, or it can be forwarded to any other URL of your choice. The advantage of parking a domain name is that you can keep it and make sure that nobody else will take it. At the same time, it won't occupy a slot for a hosted domain address in your account. In addition, you can park domains if you have a .com, for instance, and you register domains with other extensions like .net, .org or country-code ones to direct them to the main web site in order to protect a brand name.

Parked Domains in Hosting

If you get a hosting plan from us, you will be able to register as many domain addresses as you wish and park any one of them with just a few mouse clicks using your Hepsia hosting Control Panel. By using our feature-rich Domain Manager tool, you can select from several templates and add your own text to any one of them. If you want to forward a domain address, all it requires is to type the URL, save it, and you'll be all set. You could un-park a domain and host it within your account just as easily and our system will do all the needed adjustments - update the domain servers, create DNS records for it, create a domain folder in the File Manager section of your account, etcetera. If you have numerous domain addresses registered using our company, you’ll be able to use a filter and check out just the parked or just the hosted ones for easier management. Having in mind that you can park a domain only with its registrar, you can use this feature only for domains which are registered through us, but not through another company.
